Kirsten Smith hails from a “Big Fat Greek Family” that was dedicated to hospitality in Minot, ND! They owned and operated one of the largest hotels and exhibition centers in the state. She has managed to garner pertinent experience from it all and brings her “customers are extended family” beliefs with her. Kirsten found her path in healthcare after a life changing car accident in 1992. Her passion to care for people landed her working for large city ER’s and ICU units as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, she has worked for Trinity Health, Minot ND, Baylor Medical Centers, Dallas TX and surrounding areas, Stormont Vail Healthcare in Topeka KS, and Lakewood Health System, Staples MN. After moving to MN, she started working for Specialty Home Med, (Division of Rotech Healthcare) a national durable medical equipment company and quickly doubled the local patient base and more than doubled revenue, ethically, simply by identifying needs and caring for her patients. She quickly became known throughout the company and was used as a corporate trainer, throughout the US. Eventually, Kirsten became the Director of Respiratory and Sleep Services for a critical access facility in central MN. Within two years she built a booming department that functioned independently with therapist driven protocols. Her ability to build teams, generate growth, increase quality, and maintain a high level of employee engagement earned her Studor Pillar awards multiple years running. Most recently Kirsten was the Manager of the Sleep Center of Central Minnesota. With more than 15 years of service dedicated to sleep apnea treatment and durable medical equipment, and 25 years in respiratory care, Kirsten decided to step out and provide sleep and respiratory services to her community, existing, and new patients who have and will become part of her extended family.

She has worked in both public and private sector organizations in every level of HR, she also has experience in healthcare accreditation. Deb Cervantez brings 17 years of Human Resources experience to our team along with her SHRM-CP and aPHR certifications. She has worked in both public and private sector organizations in every level of HR, she also has experience in healthcare accreditation. Being a veteran, she has had extensive experience with governmental agencies, as well as, in hospitality and various service industries. Her ability to function as our HR guru and business manager allows Rita and Kirsten to focus on patient care and the important needs of our referral partners. Deb also has a natural love for people and hunger to learn more about the sleep industry and its trials and tribulations. She is dedicated to ensuring all policies and procedures are met, that our billing processes are meeting all ethical and legal guidelines, and that our staff is trained and ready to serve you. Anyone who knows Kirsten and Rita know that they need a designated adult for supervision. Deb is the unique person for the job. Seeing the opportunity in front of her, Deb knew that this fit was perfect. In Deb’s previous positions she has also been an event planner extraordinaire! Look for some fun events being held at our Elite Sleep Solutions location or with our AWAKE support group! She has worked for NJPA, Grandview Lodge, Stormont Vail-Healthcare, and the US Army. Deb’s love for people is best represented by the number of tireless hours she dedicated to the families of the Army while serving as the Deployment Specialist for Army Community Services and heading up the family readiness group for FSC 2nd Engineer Battalion in White Sands, NM. Her dedication to families in need while struggling with deployment consequences was unparalleled. Deb is married to her husband Paul of 21 years, and together they have two daughters, Zoe and Aria, and a family fur baby, Holly. She enjoys being a “dance mom”, camping and spending time on the lake.

Zoe is serving as our part time receptionist welcoming all of our patients as they arrive. Zoe is a student at Brainerd High School. When she is not in school or at the office all of her time is spent at the Just for Kix studio in Baxter. Zoe has been dancing since she was 4 years old and has been a member of the Brainerd Warrior Dance

Zoe has been dancing since she was 4 years old and has been a member of the Brainerd Warrior Dance Team, the Kixters, since 8th grade. Zoe loves to meet new people and greet them with a smile!
